Congratulations on the release of your new single. Please tell me about this song, writing and production process. Where did it come from?

It’s a very uplifting, up to date pop sound with Urban influence and a lot of organic sounds. I wrote it with Cayenne Noluck who’s also singing backing vocals and rapping in the song; It started with me laying down some ideas, mainly acoustic guitars and grooves, played the music to Cayenne and that inspired the words. The song talks about how we are all a big family; we all breathe the same air! With all that is happening in the world now, it is very important to remind ourselves that we are all humans. My favorite line is “No better time for the family” meaning the time to make a change is always NOW! It’s a song that wants to spread positive energy to all!

Tell me about your audience? Who are you writing for? Any specific message you would like to convey to your audience?

I’d love for all types of people to connect with my music, In general I like to spread positive and uplifting vibes, and if even for just the duration of the song I’d like for my listener to feel a bit better about themselves.

What is your major influence when you write and record music?

Really, it changes every time. It can start from listening to an other song/artist, or sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with a specific idea that I quickly make note of on my phone and work on it the next day.

What made you decide to pursue a music career? Who was your influence while you were growing up? What music or musicians were your favorites while you were growing up?

I started playing guitar at 12 years old, after watching the movie School of Rock with Jack Black. I remember being fascinated by the sound of the electric guitar, and immediately went down to the basement where my mom had an old classical guitar and started messing around with it. Shortly after, I took my very first guitar lesson and immediately fell in love with it. By the time I was 15 or 16 I knew that music was going to be the most important thing in my life and that I would dedicate myself to her! I listened to many artist at the time; one of my favorites was John Mayer, because he’s just an amazing musician, songwriter and guitar player. I grew up listening and playing music from all the classic rock records from Led Zeppelin to Pink Floyd to Guns’n’Roses. While at Berklee, I came across Funk, Pop, some jazz and later, electronic music.

How was your experience in Berklee College of Music in Boston?

It was wonderful! Not easy… but great! You are 18/19 years old and you are confronted with some of the best people in the world of music, so you have to work your way up. I love that, I love challenges and I always try to get the best out of it.

And what made you decide to move to US?

The first reason I came to US was to attend Berklee, which was a very strong and beautiful experience. My dream was always to go play music with some of the best musicians in the world. Berklee gave me that opportunity!

What are your favorite instruments, and why?

Guitar is what I mastered. but I also love the piano, Its the most complete instrument; gorgeous to listen to on its own.
I also like playing the bass and sometimes, the drums.

Where do you go for your inspiration?

A specific place? I don’t have one, I mean I spend most of the time in the studio so I guess it has to be that!

I have a long list of people I want to work with and am also very happy with who I am working now, from my producers, Mike Gazzo and Roberto Baldi, to Cayenne Noluck and all the other artists I have the privilege to share my creativity with.
