SIGNATURES! We all have one. The ones that rise to the level of mass cultural attention are what we call “signatures.” The glove, the ruby red lipstick, the guitar strum, the hair, the sunglasses, the speech, the shoes, the scent: in one way or another, each of these items can be associated with personalities, places, and objects that we are all about.

Plus-size model and pioneer Denise Bidot has changed the perception of what constitutes beauty over her ten-year career. Artists for Peace and Justice has worked for many years in Haiti, and was newly challenged in 2007 after a devastating earthquake had destroyed the island’s infrastructure. The organization has been rebuilding Haiti’s educational system, one school at a time, providing a future for the coming generations and a wonderful legacy for APJ. David Belle, APJ’s CEO, shares this powerful story with us in both, words and pictures.

We are pleased to tell you that the contents mentioned are only a fraction of the many Signature stories which fill this issue to the very brim. We are so excited to share them with you…
